Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! It was so low-key that it came and went really fast. The celebration began on Christmas Eve with our traditional Jesus Supper. We eat food that Jesus would have eaten such as fish, grapes, nuts, cheese etc. and we talk about His life and the real meaning of Christmas. Then we gather around and read the story of his birth from the Bible and sing Christmas Carols. Jesus Supper is my favorite family tradition. I love teaching my children about Jesus Christ and my gratitude for our Savior's birth.

We started the Christmas Morning opening the kids stockings and then we took them into the living room to open their gifts. Jaxson is at a fun age and really got into opening his gifts. Ehlana liked unwrapping the gifts also but only because she wanted to eat the wrapping paper.
Here we are (morning hair and all) opening the stockings!

Here's the kids opening some of their gifts. Ehlana was pretty funny...

We then went to my parents house and had Christmas breakfast, naps, and the traditional Christmas dinner. It was a wonderful day!

2 Shout outs!:

I love the idea of Jesus Supper. I may just borrow that tradition for my own family someday.
And I must say that Ehlana has the cutest morning hair I have ever seen! How does she make morning hair cute?!?
