Visiting Family

This weekend we made the three hour drive to Steve's sister's house in Northern VA to spend more time with them and his parents. We always have a lot of fun with them. The weather was extremely hot and humid so we didn't spend much time outside unless the kids were playing in the kiddie pool. Saturday us women went out for a girls afternoon. We went to lunch and then shopping. That night the men went to a Nationals Baseball game. Most of the time we played card games and let the kids play together. They had a lot of fun.





We tried to leave Sunday afternoon, but we hit some traffic coming out of D.C. and our car started over heating! We turned off the air conditioner and rolled down the windows but it was way too hot for the kids. They were sweating really bad. So we turned around and went back to their house. Luckily we were only 45 minutes away. We took the car to get fixed the next day and stayed until Monday night. It was nothing really major just a leak here and a plug replaced there... I don't know anything about cars. We had a great time and I was happy to stay the extra day. By that night Jaxson was falling apart. He woke up before 6am two mornings in a row and was pretty tired. Ehlana did well. Although she had trouble going to bed a couple nights. Once she's asleep she sleeps for 6-8 hours before she wakes up again. She is just really fussy when she's awake. It was great to get out of town and spend time with family. Hopefully we'll get to visit again soon!
