We had a great family weekend together. Saturday morning we moved our bedroom upstairs to clear out the new baby room. Things were going great until we tried to move ore box spring up the stairs. Sadly there was no way it was going to fit. So we now sleep on our bed frame and just the mattress. Pretty ghetto, I know. We left the box spring in Jaxson's room behind the futon. Oh well! At least we got the mattress upstairs.
Saturday Night we went to a Progressive Dinner with some people from our neighborhood. Even though we moved here over a year ago we don't really know many of our neighbors. There were only 11 people who came and there were 3 stops. It was fun to see the inside the old Victorian houses. They're all so different and have so much character. I think most of them were built in the early 1900's. One owner told us their house was built in 1910. My favorite part was getting to meet new people. We only knew one of the couples and we didn't know them very well. Meeting new people is one of my favorite things! And since we were the only ones with little kids and none of them were members of our church I was fun to find other things to talk about besides kids and church. (Those seem to be our usual topics with our group of close friends.) Jaxson stayed home with a babysitter and we just got to enjoy our evening of good food and good company! I felt like such a grown up!
Our weekend ended with an enjoyable Sunday with church meetings, choir practice, a long afternoon nap, and dinner with our friends, Dave and Marie. Steve and Dave used to work at the hospital together in Utah and now Dave goes to school out here with Steve. We always enjoy their company and her meatballs were delicious!
Hope you all had a fun and safe weekend also!
