Yesterday was Steve's 28th birthday. Yes, He's an old man! He got off of work (well school) at the hospital half day. But, he had to mow the lawn and get everything out of the back yard because of Tropical Storm Hanna heading our way. When he finished the rain started and then our power went out for a couple hours. He said it was the worst birthday ever. (My husband, the optimist!) ;) Finally our power came back on and his sister Leanne and her family came to stay the night with us. They had stayed at the beach the rest of the week and their flight was leaving early from our airport. We played games with them and had dinner and dessert. So the day turned out great after all!
Leanne and Josh left at 4:30 this morning and returned at 5:30am. Their flight had been cancelled. So they spent the day with us. I made some preparation for the storm coming, I baked some rolls, filled up our water bottles, and put dinner in the crock pot in case we were with out power again this evening. The storm wasn't bad at all, we even went out to pizza during it. Leanne and Josh left this afternoon, it was great to spend more time with them.
So, Happy Birthday, Baby Cakes! Sorry most of the day was kind of a bust! Hopefully next year will be better. I love you very much!
